Your Office Thanksgiving, Done Gluten-Free: It’ll Be Great!

Thanksgiving is next week; can you believe it?

As the holidays draw closer, the number of office social gatherings begins to rise. And what kind of party is any kind of party without great food? Don’t answer that. People get downright gluttonous this time of year, and frankly, we can’t blame them. Visions of sugarplums dance in our heads; pumpkin pie and chocolate mousse pie and gingerbread grace the dessert table, while lunch is served with stuffing and broccoli casserole.

Oh, but wait. You remember you heard that your company’s Administrative Assistant has Celiac Disease, and your officemate has recently gone gluten-free because she says it just makes her feel better. They certainly can’t chow down on the stuffing OR the pumpkin pie.

  • Mesquite roasted turkey breast — with black bean and corn salsa, served with roasted sweet potato spears, grilled mixed vegetables, tomato & cucumber salad
  • Greek-style chicken kabobs — with bell peppers and onions, accompanied by a Greek salad and tzatziki sauce
  • Mediterranean chicken — seasoned with fresh herbs, stuffed with roasted red pepper, crumbled feta cheese, chopped kalamata olives and fresh basil; served with a vegetable medley
  • Mediterranean mixed grill — beef kebabs and chicken souvlaki served with tzatziki sauce and market vegetables, accompanied by hummus
